This is a letter Tatyana Ali wrote to her youngerself. I completely and shamelessly stole this from Anomaly's blog (Check her out). Happy Hump Day!


Dear Tatyana,

Don't be afraid of who you are.  In the times that lie ahead, you would have to stand up for yourself and hold your ground for what you believe in and those moments will define you.  Put your relationship with God first and everything else will fall into place. Cherish your sisters, your family, and your true friends - you will know who they are because they will speak truth to you.  Remember that love never needs to be rushed, take your time.  When you truly love and honor yourself, real love will find you.  I want you to know how capable you are.  You can do anything.  All you need to carry is your courage.

Being a human being is so tough. Navigating relationships, trying to be kind, trying to be a better person. I wake up every day trying and hoping to be a better person but I feel I fall short more often than not. Thanks for the well wishes from my last post guys, I appreciate it. So far, so good in the week. I am ready for the weekend before another week of travels. I am in class all bored and stuff with A LOT of stuff on my mind, sigh. I have done blog rounds and visited a lot of bloggers for the first time, so I decided to just write out some stuff I can share. - Are there people out there who don't suffer from procrastination? I need to get on whatever it is they are on. It's like I know what I need to be doing and should be doing but I just don't, it's the most amazing and infuriating thing. - So you know the stereotype of how most Asians are small and skinny. When I see a fat one, I usually wonder how they feel and if they feel like they have failed their race. Oh yea, Fat Asians make me uncomfortable (It's my random, sue me) - I used to LOVE the show, Friends. I still love it, actually it's my favorite comedy and second favorite show (behind Six Feet Under). Never missed an episode when it was on.
