Signed, Vexed Nigerian...

So this chic right here wants to rant.

Ok, so Ghana is like totally jocking our style and I am actually a little miffed by it. Remember growing up how Ghanaians take style full our country, we come say "ghana must go". Well indeed, they left and the way my imagination works, I see them leaving our country, snapping their fingers and saying "eh eehn, you are chasing us away? You will see!". Now what don't they have over us? Their education system is so good that those(nigerians) that can't afford overseas send their kids there, them get light, where is the light from - Us!, See Nollywood movies dem don crossover, anyone wonder why ghanians play nigerians in nigerian movies but nigerians don't play ghanaians in ghanaian movies? Even the movies sef, have you seen Perfect Picture? have you seen Wind in my Hair(or whatever name Naija movies have)can you compare the two? I thought so, they have left us in the dust.Just last week, didn't they just beat us in soccer, insult upon injury. The one that hit near and dear to my heart and is the latest one in the music industry is that Ghanaian singers/rappers whatever have started remaking our songs so much so that even Ghanaians think that they were originally sung(sang?) by Ghanaians. Chei! Knowing their history, they will soon master it and take over, naaaaaah! we got music in the bag(right?). Anyways, what can we do? Am I overreacting or is anybody with me?Is there anything we can do?:(. Sigh, I feel better already...I went to listen to some music. What did I go listen to you ask? It's the Ghanaian version of Wande Coal's "Kiss your hand", featuring W.Ceezy himself. I didn't like it at first but now I gbadun it.

Tell me if you like it and be sure to listen for the ghanian rap, it cracks me up.

Have a great week!

loool! I have been thinking the exact same thing!! Like Ghanians are totally overtaking us and its stupidly annoying.

I like the kiss ur hands remix tho..ghanians are allowed to participate on the music scene but no overtaking allowed!

I had this discussion and someone decided that Ghana is no where in comparison to Naija (I laugh in Igbo). Its that our pride that will allow even the small war torn countries to come and do better than us. Not that we should be in competition but we need to wake up and see that the folks that were scrimping and suffering will soon be Lording over us, while we sit down and have this false pride based on our ego.
I commend Ghana for their improvement and I wish we will drop our nonsense pride by the wayside and really claim our throne as Giant of Africa because Lord knows we were kicked off that seat a long time ago, we are just too delusional to notice it. Naija 4 life!!!

LOL!!

Wait, you liked Perfect Picture that much???? I thought it was just a movie with nice audio and video, but a mediocre plot.

As for them - or anyone - copying us, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

But can you really blame Ghana/Ghanians? Ghana is a testament of what visionary leaders and citizens can do to change/develop a country positively. Kudos to Ghana. Sadly, the same cannot be said for Naija..Hopefully one day it will...

I liked perfect picture too...good movie.
