Friday Randoms

3 posts in one week, meeen na una dey enjoy lol. Anyways, this is early because I have an early day tomorrow, so just wanted to get this out the way before I forget.

I don't have much this week but before I get started I do want to say a big thank you to Baba God in Heaven, my heart is full of gratitude for an answered prayer of mine that I have had for what seems like eternity. All the cliches, I have heard over the years now make sense. It's true what they say, I can only liken it to a pregnant woman who forgets her labor pains once she holds her child in her arms. I don't seem to remember everything that happened the last few years, my heart was so full that I was in my car just crying, for once tears of joy. I tried to pray a prayer of thanksgiving but I could only say thank you over and over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my friends who have been there for me and who are sharing my joy. I'll stop now.

*end drama queen rant*

On to the randoms(to the tune of Jay's "On to the next one"):

I strongly believe that Yar Adua and Bin Laden are in the same place.

For once, after hearing about the Jos killings I felt fear for Nigeria.

How do y'all roll your tissue paper - over or under?

Sometimes I feel like pee knows exactly the wrongest time to hit? Always when you are just not in the mood to drag yourself to the bathroom.

I feel bad even mentioning her name, but I cringe in shame at what MonaLisa Chinda chooses to call acting. Tufia!

Did Katrina get this much support as Haiti is getting?

Most business students should know what a SWOT analysis is, its a strategic planning strategy used in entering a business (strength, weakness, opportunities and threats). I was studying this week and read this and I felt it could apply to humans : Build on your strength, remedy your weakness, take advantage of opportunities and eliminate threats. Pretty apt huh?

Geez, gym teachers should stop with their corny lines when JT's "Sexy Back" comes on. "Yea! We're bringing sexy back!". abeg sharrap.

According to the knot, 40% of all proposals occur between November and February.

Speaking of February, I'm kinda not feeling people hating on Valentine's day. I'm not a valentine celebrater because I always roast but I don't think its any different from any other holiday, they are all commercialized.

You know it is a wonder how men and women maintain long term relationships/marriage. We are soooo different yo!

I found a new tv show (as if I don't have enough). It's an Australian tv show called Satisfaction about hookers and their private life. Got me wondering how on earth do hookers/prostitutes do it?? And some of them have husbands, kids etc that don't know what they do.

And finally, I swiped this from someone's blog : Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

P.S - I especially want to say thank you to Rita for her blog : From the Heart of a Loving Father. I try to follow it everyday and it helps with my prayer life.

Alright now people, have a lovely weekend, shake a tail feather or two and try to have fun. Enjoy this song by Snow Patrol featuring Martha Wainwright, dedicated to all the long distance lovers out there:

I like my tissue 'under'...at some point i used to flip it if i came across one that was 'over' but i got tired of doing that.
I really don't care how my tissue is left, under or over, it doesn't matter to me.

Have a great weekend! :)

I always enjoy your randoms.. I love the Mark Twain quote.

Actually that's my modus operandi for 2010: explore, discover and sail awwy from the safe harbor. it's been going well so far...liberating i must say...

20 years from now, i would be more disappointed by the things that i did not do.

Now.
So do I! The valentine's day thing. Like shutup okay. So what if you dislike it? Not everyone needs to know. Hmph.

Long term things apparently are based on compartibility- I forgot how to spell it cause that looks wrong.
